T H R I F T   F E S T I V A L Festival Branding Design

A B O U T
For this project, I developed a visual identity for the Thrift Festival driven by my commitment to environmental sustainability and combating climate change. The fashion industry is one of the top contributors to waste, with countless garments made from plastic-based fabrics — like polyester and nylon — ending up in landfills each year. This reality inspired the festival's purpose: to celebrate circular fashion, reduce textile waste, and shift how people think about what they wear.

My design approach blends vibrant, welcoming visuals with messaging that highlights the urgency of mindful consumption. By elevating the concept of thrift as both stylish and sustainable, the branding communicates that fashion can be fun and environmentally responsible. This project reflects my belief that thoughtful design can spark awareness, inspire action, and contribute to a more sustainable future.

-> To develop a project centered around the environment and thrifting- make it feel like that was the purpose.
-> Learn new techniques to create a cohesive branding application: including motion design, UX design, etc.
-> Create a functional, consistent branding application that feels ‘realistic’ and cohesive.

Key thought: The purpose of my festival is to create a cohesive brand guideline that tackles both thrifting and the environment.

Each deliverable presented a unique challenge as I worked to create a cohesive branding guideline. I aimed to balance the environmental message with a celebration of clothing, ensuring that both sustainability and style felt equally important in the festival’s visual identity.
